How is this class structured?

The class is structured according to the threefold human geometry of willing, feeling, and thinking.

⟡ Willing: We begin each month with a variety of exercises to build our language muscles and cultivate a strong life of the senses.

⟡ Feeling: We proceed to work with the rhythmic quality of language, emphasizing meter and rhyme and learning to wrangle our creative ideas into form.

⟡ Thinking: We then pluck the fruits of thinking to produce literary works include poems, stories, and plays, according to the group’s interest.

*This rhythm repeats each month, allowing new students to join anytime and still get all the value of the course.

Each individual session will begin with focus and language exercises, followed by sharing homework. Then, we will learn the new skill and practice it before ending with a joke.
