Theater Camp 2025

Location: Twaine Harte, CA (exact venue TBD)

Dates: June 18 - June 27 (with a break for the weekend)

Hours: 8:30am - 2:30pm

Ages: 9+

Price: $700 ($650 for early bird registration by April 15 or for Enkindle Academy students)

Campers will need to bring their own snack and lunch.

Families will also be asked to provide costume materials which can be quite fun and organic. (This need not be a big expense, but can be a creative collaboration making use of ordinary household materials and garments)

Description: Set in the arid islands of Ancient Greece, at a time when gods and goddesses spoke through the wind and the waves and appeared to bestow blessings and curses upon human beings, the story of Perseus and Medusa is one of the iconic human stories. Come join us for a week and a half of theater camp as we play theater games, make costumes, make music, practice speech arts, and prepare a performance of this epic tale that will bring it to life!

Daily Schedule:

8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Arrival and Warm-Up

• Brain Gym exercises, games and icebreakers to prepare for the day.

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Theater Class/Skill Building

• Theater/Improv games, speech arts, music

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Morning Rehearsal

• Working on scenes from the play

11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Snack Break

• Snack and chat break

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Second Morning Rehearsal

• Kids can work on a specific scene, monologue, or project that will be presented later.

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch Break

• Campers eat lunch

1:30 PM – 2:20 PM: Creative Activities/Workshops

• Additional activities like costume creation or personalized acting practice.

2:20 PM – 2:30 PM: Wrap-Up/Closing Circle

• A quick reflection to recap the day, and a sneak peek of what’s coming the next day.
