• This is a block with two parts. We begin with algebra appropriate for eighth grade which includes rigorous instruction and practice, strengthening students’ foundation for high school.

• The second half of the block works with the 3-D geometry of the Platonic Solids. It begins with an exploration of the five elements from two perspectives, Indian and Greek. We then join intellect and will as we model the Solids out of clay and then paper. This requires a stretching of the thinking to visualize complex forms in space. It’s fun!
