• In this block, we will expand on work began in earlier grades and now brought into the metric system. Ideally, we would have started with the Imperial System – not because America (practically the only place still using it!) is superior but because it’s less abstract (not related to the body directly). In this block, we are ready to understand the more abstract metric system.

• We will do many exercises from real life which means students should be ready to be engaged. We’ll also have plenty of practice with conversion, word problems, and so on. Finally, we include a history and some biographies to put it all into context!
